Star Wars VII: Choosing a Director

A lot of people are wondering why all these great directors like Spielberg and Abrams keep turning down the chance to direct the upcoming Star Wars movie.

The reason they keep turning it down is because they're scared. They know if they were to direct it and mess it up somehow, they would be shunned for life. Everyone would know that they were the one who messed up Star Wars.

The recent directors in the running include Joe Johnston and Jon Favreau. Johnston directed Captain America: The First Avenger and Favreau directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Disney owns Marvel, so it kinda makes sense why they are looking into these directors to direct the upcoming Star Wars.

It doesn't really matter to me who directs it, because come on, its Star Wars. It'll always be good. I do have to say though, there are a few directors that I wouldn't choose to direct it like Tim Burton or Guillermo del Toro.

Tim Burton is a good director, he likes to use a lot of colors in his movies which is fine for certain movies, but we really don't want to see a pale Luke Skywalker.

Guillermo del Toro, I'm not really a fan of his mostly because he casts the same actor in all his movies and his movies tend to be crappy because of the one actor. Can you just imagine Ron Perlman as Han Solo? Pretty horrible, right?

I wouldn't mind like Marc Webb, director of Amazing Spider-Man, or Joss Whedon, director of Avengers, directing it. I'm sure whoever Disney chooses to direct it, it will be good.
