Warner Bros. is planning to release the Justice League movie in 2015. The Justice League movie is a great idea, but 2015 is way too soon. That's like two and half years from now and all the DC movies that have been made recently are not connected to each other.
Christopher Nolan, the director of the Batman trilogy, has already said that he doesn't want anything to do with the Justice League movie. With that said that means Christian Bale most likely won't be Batman in the Justice League movie. Plus including the obvious, the Batman trilogy had nothing to do with The Justice League.
Man of Steel, the upcoming Superman movie that's coming out next year, will probably be the starting point for The Justice League. Henry Cavil looks pretty sick in the new design of the Superman costume. Superman will probably start it off, but there hasn't been any talk involving Justice League.
The Green Lantern movie that came out a few years ago didn't do quite as well as everyone hoped. Ryan Reynolds was the perfect cast for Green Lantern, but the movie had its flaws. Personally, I didn't think it was all that bad. So they will probably end up casting someone else for Green Lantern.
Flash. There hasn't been any recent Flash movies. There are rumors about a possible Flash movie coming out in the next few years, but if you were to search for it, you wouldn't find anything that would lead you the conclusion of a Flash movie coming out soon. Personally,I would like to see Bradley Cooper play Flash.
Wonder Woman. There were also talks of a Wonder Woman movie and it was supposed to come out this year actually, but that never happened. I heard it was turned into a TV show, but I may be mistaken. So they need to make a Wonder Woman movie also.
Aquaman. Also no Aquaman movie, nothing in talks. So they need to make an Aquaman movie also.
They need to create origin movies for all these characters before they can make The Justice League, otherwise, it won't make much sense. They need to make it like how Marvel did it with the Avengers and all the movies that led up to it.
UPDATE:
The Justice League is still moving forward, but instead of having all those characters above. The final roster is going to consist of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern.

It's been rumored that Christopher Nolan is going to direct The Justice League and that Zack Snyder is going to produce. Also it's rumored since Nolan is directing, Christian Bale will return as Batman and Henry Cavil will return as Superman. With this said, the above update with the roster change may be incorrect now. Especially since the guy who was originally going to write the story will not be writing it. So hopefully they will add Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, and hopefully Green Arrow. If Nolan is defiantly directing, you can expect this movie to be more realistic like his Batman trilogy and the Man of Steel which comes out in the summer.
Very interesting. I never thought about it in the terms you listed. You're right about the movies that need to be made before "The Justice League" movie comes out. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteTo add to the Batman paragraph, Warner Bros. is planning on rebooting Batman for The Justice League. The last time I looked it up, it's planned to come out in 2015. Also the same year as The Justice League, so hopefully they'll make the new Batman movie first and then wait a few years before making The Justice League.
