Need For Speed: Most Wanted Review

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a remake basically of the original Need for Speed: Most Wanted. As much as I was looking forward to this game, I have to say I was pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of pros to this game, but still way too many cons.

The Pros. The game is back on the streets with the police ready to chase you and stop you with their spike strips and road blocks. Its always fun escaping the police and totaling their cars after winning a race. The cars in the game are awesome, from the Lamborghini Aventador to the Dodge Viper SRT10 to the Ford F-150 Raptor. Yeah, there are trucks and SUVs in this game, pretty nice for off road racing. The graphics of the cars you drive are pretty sweet.

The Cons. If you've ever played a Burnout game, this is basically the Need for Speed version. Its fun smashing other racer's cars to a point. In this game, the only way to win a racer's car is by totaling it after the race is over. Which means you have to chase him and ram him, this can become annoying.

This game isn't like the classic Need for Speed racing games like Carbon or Undercover. After winning a race, you don't earn money. Instead you earn Most Wanted points and you have to rank yourself up the Most Wanted chart. Also by not earning money, you cannot put details on your car and you cannot customize your car how you want it. In this game, besides getting Most Wanted points you get features for your cars but its not the same as personally making your own upgrades. Also by not getting money, you do not buy cars in this game. You have to find them around the city, which can be good because they are all free, but I'd rather have the choice to buy the cars I want.

There isn't really a story to this game, the main purpose is to get to the top of the Most Wanted list. It's fun to drive around and find cars and do races, but this game could've done a lot better. I give this game a 6.5/10.
