Is The Rock Ruining Movies?

Dwayne The Rock Johnson. He has been in way too many movies recently. Especially The Fast and the Furious movies.

It was okay for him to be in Fast Five, but why was he in Fast Six and upcoming Fast Seven? He isn't an important character. He's a cop. Dom and Brian and the rest of them are criminals. So why do they keep helping Hobbs?

He was also in G.I. Joe 2. Why? That movie was kinda dumb anyway. Why did they kill off Duke? He's the main character! Take it that the first movie pretty much sucked too and the only reason they're kind of cool is because of Snake Eyes.

The only movie I actually want Dwayne Johnson in is an Expendables sequel. Vin Diesel needs a part in one too.

But seriously, people stop casting Dwayne Johnson in everything. He's not even a very good actor. He's just big.

Who Will Be Lex Luthor?

Many rumors have been thrown around since the Man of Steel debuted, who will play Lex Luthor? Obviously they're going to have him eventually, hence all the "Lex Corp" stuff in Man of Steel.

Most recent news is that Mark Strong is in talks to play Superman's arch nemesis. You may remember Mark Strong played Lord Blackwood in Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. He is a great actor and he could play Lex very well.

Hopefully, they will show Lex Luthor how he was meant to be like in the comics, not as he was shown in the previous Superman movies. Lex is a billionaire genius enemy to Superman. In previous Superman movies he has been too corny and comedic. He wasn't serious enough and what was up with him wearing a wig? Lex isn't ashamed of his baldness.

A perfect example of Lex Luthor being awesome as he should be shown in Man of Steel 2 is how he was played in Smallville. One good sign that they are going in the right direction is "Lex Corp". Since they've already put that out there, he will obviously have his company play a big part in his life in Man of Steel 2.

Plus Mark Strong is familiar with DC Comics already having played Sinestro in Green Lantern. It hasn't been confirmed, but since Green Lantern didn't do as well as everyone hoped it's not going to be leading up to The Justice League. So unfortunately, Ryan Reynolds wont be playing Green Lantern.

As for suggestions for other actors to play Lex. I really don't have any. But a few people have thrown out a few names:

Guy Pearce. I could actually see him playing Lex pretty good. Since his role in Iron Man 3 as Aldrich Killian, he proved to be a good villain. Plus, he can pull off the baldness, which he also proved in Seeking Justice. So I see how he would be a good choice.

Jason Isaacs. He plays a great villain, but I don't think he's the right type of villain for Lex Luthor. His roles in The Patriot and Harry Potter are magnificent, both of those characters were evil, but they had a different kind of evil compared to Lex Luthor. You can never tell when it comes to actors, he could be the perfect fit for Lex.

Tom Hardy. As long as he isn't all buffed out, he could be a good Lex. He sorta reminds me of Michael Rossenbaum as Smallville's Lex. If you remember, Star Trek Nemesis. He played Shinzon. If he has more of that look than his Bane look, he could be a good Lex. His Bane wont have an effect on Man of Steel 2, because they've already confirmed that The Dark Knight Trilogy wont be apart of the Justice League and since Man of Steel is, he could easily take the part. Plus, he's practically bald in everything he's in, so he already has that going for him.

Since I do not know who will be playing Lex Luthor, I am excited to find out who will be taking his role.

Worst Movie Lines Ever

Don't you hate it when you're watching an awesome movie and there's the dumbest line ever in it. You're like, "Come on! You people make a billion dollar box office hit, but you have the stupidest movie line ever in it." There are a lot of movies like that, unfortunately. Here are some:

X-Men: Storm: "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else." - Wow... Is there really a need to state the obvious?

Titanic: Rose DeWitt Bukater: "I'll never let go Jack, I'll never let go" - Literally minutes later, she drops him into the cold ocean...

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones: Anakin Skywalker: "I don't like sand. It's coarse and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth" - One of the very many creepy lines Anakin has in this movie.

The Fast and the Furious: Brian: "He knows I can box" - Okay. No one cares.

Transformers: Defense Secretary John Keller: "Well we have one now" - That's why they're showing you now, stupid.

Batman and Robin: Every Single Quote Everyone Says, Especially Mr. Freeze.

These are my top hated lines, but if you can think of any more, please leave them in the comments below.

What Ever Happened To Video Games?

Remember in the old days when you could play a game and unlock new characters, new maps, new costumes, etc.. I miss those days.

Now, you can't do that. Everything, is a DLC and you always have to buy it. So you have to pay extra for things that should already be in the game.

I recently played Playstation All-Stars (a copy off Smash Bros.) and I was expected to unlock characters after beating the single player with my character, but no. Didn't happen, I didn't get anything. Nothing. Not even a alternate costume for my character. I figured it was like Smash Bros., after beating the single player with a character you would unlock a character or a new stage. It's not. Nothing is anymore. Every game I have, there are DLCs that I have to buy to unlock more stuff. To put it bluntly, it's stupid.

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought Injustice: God's Among Us. It's the same thing. No unlockable characters, BUT WAIT! There's a DLC coming out soon! So after buying this game, now the only way I'm going to get more characters is by buying a $15 DLC, so to add that onto the already $60, so I'd be paying $75 dollars for a game that honestly isn't even that good.

When buying a game for $60 bucks, it better have unlockable stuff in it. If they want to keep making DLCs, they should decrease the prices of the games to like $40 then tell you that you can buy a $20 DLC if you want to. That seems reasonable to me.

Harry Potter: What You Missed In The Movies

A lot of people didn't first read the Harry Potter books before watching the movies. But if you just watch the movies and don't read the books, you're missing out on a lot. Because there are parts in the movies that don't make any sense unless you read the books. Plus there are so many important things in the books that they didn't show or explain in the movies that they should have.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone: Probably the closest to the book. Why? Mainly because it's the shortest book.

1st. In the book there is a Quidditch game between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff that wasn't in the movie. Why is it important? Snape referees the game. Which puts more suspicion on him so Harry catches the snitch in less than five minutes breaking the record for catching the snitch the fastest. But later they realize that Snape refereed the game to keep on eye on Harry and to protect him if Quirell tried to harm him again.

2nd. Remember when Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Malfoy got detentions? They had to go into the Dark Forest with Hagrid to find the unicorn. Well it happened, but not the way they showed it. They didn't get in trouble for being at Hagrid's. Harry and Hermione used the Invisibility Cloak to carry Norbert the dragon up to the Astronomy tower to give it to Ron's brother Charlie's friends who were going to carry him back to Romania. Malfoy caught wind of their plan and went up to the tower to catch them, but he got caught by Professor McGonagall and after the dragon was gone, Harry and Hermione forgot to put the cloak back on and were caught by Filtch and instead of Ron being at the detention with them, it was actually Neville.

3rd. When they realized what they needed to do to get past Fluffy they went up to the third floor and saw the harp playing by itself. Well, there was a harp, but it wasn't playing. Harry had gotten a wooden flute from Hagrid for Christmas and he played the flute to Fluffy.

Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets: This book also didn't have much difference in it either, also because it was a shorter book.

1st. Hermione doesn't know what a Mudblood is. Ron has to explain it to her while he is throwing up slugs after his broken wand backfired.

2nd. They skipped a semi important part in the movie. Harry finds out that Filtch is a Squib. Which is someone who can't do magic.

Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Askaban: There is a lot missing in the movies from this book on.

1st. He flew his firebolt against Slytherin and won the Quidditch Cup. Although his firebolt was confiscated by McGonagall because she believed it was given to Harry by Sirius (this was before he learned the truth).

2nd. It takes more than one lesson for Harry to learn the Patronis. It takes him weeks.

3rd. Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs. Who are they? The movie doesn't explain. So I'll tell you. Moony is Remus Lupin. Moony was his nickname because he was a werewolf. Wormtail is Peter Pettigrew. Padfoot is Sirius Black. Prongs is James Potter. Pettigrew, Black, and Potter became Animagi to help Lupin when he was a werewolf. And the four of them became the Marauders and created the map.

Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire:

1st. If you were wondering how Harry arrived at the Weasley's Burrow, it wouldn't be a dumb question. Since they didn't explain it in the movie. The Weasleys used floo powder to get to the Dursley's house, but the Dursley's had an electric fireplace so it didn't work as well as they hoped and it caused a lot of damage to the Dursley's living room.

2nd. Harry and the Weasleys are in the Minister's box with the Malfoys.

3rd. Charlie Weasley was supposed to be with the dragons when they arrived. There was a mention of it, but they never showed him

4th. Rita Skeeter is more nosy than you think. She is an Animagi who can turn into a beetle. So she pretty much gets the scoop on everything.

5th. Harry's dragon wasn't chained down, it was a nesting mother. Thus the egg it was guarding. Plus he doesn't fight it off at the castle, he beats it in the arena.

6th. If you're wondering where Cho Chang and Cedric Diggory came from, they are both Quidditch Seekers. Cho for Ravenclaw and Cedric for Hufflepuff.

7th. Dobby and Winky. Two house elves who play an important roles in the book. It's Dobby who gives Harry the Gillyweed, not Neville. Plus Hermione's SPEW. Spew is an organization that Hermione creates to get house elves proper rights.

Harry Potter And The Order of the Phoenix:

1st. Ron is a prefect and he got it over Harry.

2nd. Harry doesn't play the first Quidditch game, which isn't even in the movie, but Ron plays Keeper. This is also why he joins the team in The Half Blood Prince. But in Order of the Phoenix he isn't very good.

3rd. Cho Chang didn't betray Harry. They did break up, but not the way it happened in the movie. Hermione uses a curse on her friend, who did betray them, and Cho obviously sides with her friend and Harry sides with Hermione. Which ends Harry and Cho's relationship.

4th. After Arthur Weasley is attacked by the snake, Harry, Ron, and Hermione visit him at St. Mungo's hospital. Where they run into Gilderoy Lockhart who has been there ever since his Memory Charm backfired. And they also run into Neville who is there visiting his parents.

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince: The name of the movie is The Half-Blood Prince, but they never explain what that means.

1st. You know that Snape is the Half-Blood Prince, but what the Half-Blood Prince. Well, Snape's mother was a pure blood named Eileen Prince and he had a muggle father.

2nd. After Harry uses the spell, Sectumsempra, against Malfoy in the bathroom. Snape gives him detentions every week for the rest of the year. So he doesn't play in the game when Gryffindor wins the Quidditch Cup.

3rd. Katie Bell is much older than she appears. She may look like a 5th or 6th year, but she is actually a 7th year.

4th. Cormac McLaggen is a very bad Quidditch player teammate and he is a know-it-all about Quidditch. Because he is such a bad teammate, he ends up taking Harry out with a Bludger in the second game of the year.

5th. Harry breaks up with Ginny because he won't be coming back to Hogwarts next year and Ginny can't come with him. They also weren't dating in secret. He kissed her in front of everyone after Gryfiindor won the Cup, because Ginny played Seeker because Harry was in detention.

6th. After Snape kills Dumbledore, Harry doesn't just chase Snape out of the castle. He and the rest of the school battles him and the deatheaters through the castle and out onto the grounds where Snape reveals that he is The Half-Blood Prince. None of his friends got hurt after the battle, but Bill Weasley got attacked by werewolf, thus his scars in The Deathly Hallows.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: They made this book into a two part movie and still didn't explain anything.

1st. After Harry breaks up with Ginny, he kisses her at the Burrow. Apparently because there is still some feelings there, but Ron gets mad at him because he thinks Harry is leading her on.

2nd. At the wedding, Harry looks like himself in the movie, but in the book he takes Polyjucice Potion to like a redheaded kid and is passed off as a Weasley cousin.

3rd. After Tonks becomes pregnant, Lupin wants to abandon her because he thinks the child will become a werewolf. Then at Shell Cottage, the new HQ, Lupin visits Harry and tells him its a boy and asks him to be godfather.

4th. Harry uses the Elder Wand to repair his wand and he doesn't snap the wand in half, he returns it to Dumbledore's grave.

5th. After Harry saves Dudley's life in the fifth book, Dudley realizes the error of his ways. Before the Dursley's leave the house in the last book, Harry and Dudley shake hands.

6th. The two way mirror. Sirius and James had two mirrors, Sirius gave James' to Harry and after Sirius died  and after Fletcher raided his house he sold his mirror to Aberforth Dumbledore.

The Deathly Hallows. Barely at all described in the movie, they might as well just called the movie "Harry Potter And The Hocruxes". If you want to find out about the Deathly Hallows, I suggest reading the book.

Just some extra things that the movies didn't show:

1st. In the last movie, first part. Lupin suspects there is a traitor among them. And he asks Harry what was in the corner of his office the first time he entered it. The answer was a Grindylow. Which they never showed nor mentioned in the third movie, but it was in the book.

2nd. The fate of Peter Pettigrew. When Harry and Ron were imprisoned in Malfoy Manor, they escaped. Pettigrew hesitated and didn't try and stop them, because Harry reminded him that he spared his life in the third book. So because he hesitated, his silver hand he got from Voldemort turned on him and killed him.

3rd. Peeves the Protagonist. Peeves is a trouble making ghost who was never mentioned in any of the movies. Filtch hated Peeves more than anything because Peeves would always make a mess.

4th. Professor Binns. The only ghost professor at Hogwarts. He died in his sleep and without realizing he died, he got up the next morning to teach. He teaches the History of Magic. He is also the one who told Hermione about the Chamber of Secrets, not McGonagall.

5th. The movies make Ron out to be an awkward third wheel, but in the books he was much smarter than that. Out of the three of them, he knew the most about magic. Hermione had her book smarts, yes, but Ron was the only one from a magical family.

6th. Harry and Ginny are supposed to be soul mates. In the movie The Half-Blood Prince, they kiss for the first time and it's awful. I think Harry and Dobby had more chemistry on the beach.

Things they didn't explain or show after the end of the last movie:

1st. Harry's kids names. His eldest son, James Sirius Potter. His middle son, Albus Severus Potter. His youngest daughter, Lily Luna Potter.

2nd. Neville. Neville becomes a Herbology Professor at Hogwarts and sadly does not end up with Luna.

If you want to find out more you missed, I suggest reading the books or checking out http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
