Goosebumps Scenes: "You die!"

Comic Book Movie News

This has to be the biggest news I've heard since I heard about Star Wars Episode 7.

First off, Marvel's news:

Marvel's The Avengers 2 is called The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron is a robot in the newer comic books. Ultron was created by Hank Pymn aka Ant Man. So I'm just guessing here, but since it's called Age of Ultron. Ant Man will make an appearance. Also more Avengers news is that Aaron Taylor Johnson (Kick Ass) is going to be playing Quicksilver. Quicksilver is originally a mutant from X-Men. He's actually the son of Magneto. He has super speed, so he's pretty much 'The Flash' of Marvel.

Now, DC's news:

The Man of Steel sequel will not only feature Superman, but also...wait for it...Batman! Oh yeah! Best news ever. Superman/Batman team up in a movie. These were also the best comic book story lines ever too. So the release date for the Superman/Batman movie is 2015. I am not actually sure if this the next sequel to Man of Steel, it is a sequel to Man of Steel, but according to Henry Cavil (Superman) there's going to be a Man of Steel 2. A different movie than the Superman/Batman movie. It's also been said that it is already being written for release next year.

Also, The Flash movie has a set release date for 2016 and The Justice League is set for 2017. Finally, DC movies are coming and going to be awesome! '

I love both DC and Marvel, but I probably like DC more for one major reason. It's more serious. Even in the comics. Marvel has always been more relaxed and humorous. DC has always been more serious, which makes more sense because if superheroes existed in the world today that is how they would have to be.

Some other news regarding The Avengers. Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) and Andrew Garfield (Spiderman) have both expressed interest in having their characters join The Avengers. So hopefully, this will happen in Avengers 3? Keep your fingers crossed, because that movie would be the most awesome movie ever!

Upcoming Comic Book Movies:

The Wolverine (July 26, 2013)
Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (May 2, 2014)
X-Men: Days of Future Past (May 23, 2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1, 2014)

Box Office Failure

Pacific Rim. When I first heard about this movie, I thought it looked really stupid. It was like Transformers meets Godzilla. It looked dumb. To make it worse, it's a Guillermo Del Toro movie.

Honestly, I have never seen a good Del Toro movie. None. There are two reasons to why his movies suck. 1, He always, always, always casts the worst actor in the world in all his movies, Ron Perlman. Ron Perlman has litterally been in all of his movies. It's pathetic. He's worse than horrible. Check it out, most of the Del Toro movies star Perlman and I'd like to point out that all of these movies suck.

Pacific Rim: Obviously, this what we are talking about, but he played Hannibal Chau. Seriously, he was supposed to be what, Chinese?

Hellboy: He played Hellboy. The main character, first mistake and the last. This movie sucked.

Hellboy 2: Again, he played Hellboy. And this movie, I don't know how, but it was worse than the first one.

Cronos: I have never seen this movie. It was Del Toro's first movie, but I'm sure it was horrible.

These are just some other horrible movies because of Ron Perlman:

Conan The Barbarian: The horrible remake of the original Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.

Drive: Just a stupid movie, period. Ryan Gosling didn't help.

Season of the Witch: This movie would have been cool, if Perlman wasn't in it. Nicolas Cage as a crusader hunting down a witch, it had a good plot.

In the Name of the King: This movie sucked. Jason Statham in one of his worst moments.

There was only one movie that I've seen Perlman in that wasn't too bad, only because he had a very very small part. Star Trek: Nemesis.

The 2nd thing about Del Toro is he always has the dumbest plots for his movies. Come on, giant robots fighting against giant monsters? Really? And he thought he was going to make big on that? Epic Fail.

Games That Should Be Movies

Instead of making ten thousand sequels to movies that don't need them like Taken. Do you know they're planning on making a Taken 3? Yeah, stupid right. I remember when Taken came out, it was awesome. It had that epic atmosphere to it. Especially that line that Liam Neeson says "I will find you and I will kill you". Man, that gave me goosebumps all over. But then they ruined it by making Taken 2. Seriously how many times can someone from his family get kidnapped?

So instead of making pointless sequels, film makers should start looking into making movies from video games. I know they've made some and are planning on others. Unfortunately there were a few failures like Doom. Yeah, that movie sucked. The game wasn't even all that great. But there have been a few good movies based off games like Prince of Persia and Resident Evil.

There is one coming out that I am very excited for: Assassins Creed. If you haven't ever played any of the Assassins Creed games, you should. They're awesome. But the Assassins Creed movie is coming out in 2015 of course because everything else is too. There really hasn't been any information about the movie except that Michael Fassbender is going to be playing Desmond Miles/Altair. Which is awesome. Fassbender is a great actor and I can see him playing Altair really well.

Another one coming out is Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. If you've never played the Ghost Recon games, they are also awesome. I am not sure who is going to be in it, all I know is that Michael Bay is directing it. So you can probably expect a lot of explosions. But it should be awesome.

Now for the games that should be turned into movies, I have a few I would really like to see:

Uncharted. Uncharted is kinda a lot like Indiana Jones. The story follows Nathan Drake a decedent of Sir Francis Drake. He's a treasure hunter who believes he has learned the location of El Dorado, the city of gold. But things become complicated when a rival hunter joins in the search.  There have been three games so far.  There has been a lot of talk about making an Uncharted movie. There was actually some talk about Mark Wahlberg starring as Drake, but the project was shut down. I actually heard the other day that Naughty Dog, the company that made the Uncharted games, has asked Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to make it numerous times, but they kept refusing because it's too much like Indiana Jones.

Red Dead Redemption. Red Dead Redemption is a western game and probably the best I've ever played. The game follows John Marston, a former outlaw who gets blackmailed by the government to hunt down his former partners in crime. They should really make this into a movie, especially with the lack of good western movies nowadays.

Mass Effect. Mass Effect is a futuristic game. The game follows Commander Shepard who must stop a plot to exterminate humanity throughout the galaxy. Think of how the Star Trek and Star Wars universes are. That's pretty much how the Mass Effect universe is. Tons of different planets with different species of aliens. There have also been three Mass Effect games so far. They could easily make a Trilogy out of these movies or even go father. Obviously it will never beat Star Wars nor Star Trek, but it would be cool to have another successful sci-fi universe.

Halo. Halo follows super-soldier John-117, Master Chief. He must battle a genocidal alien race known as the Covenant following his violent crash-landing on Halo, an ancient and mysterious ring-world. There are a lot of Halo games. This is another game they should really make into movies. More sci-fi, just like with Mass Effect, they could turn Halo into a lot of movies. Awesome movies.

Gears of War. Gears of War follows Marcus Fenix in Mankind's epic struggle for survival against the Locust, a nightmareish race of creatures. The games are extremely bloody and I wouldn't expect any less from a movie. The games are pretty awesome, although the first one is probably the best in my opinion.

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Skyrim is probably one of the best games I've ever played. It's like a combination of Lord of the Rings and pretty much every other awesome medieval fantasy movie. A lot of stuff happens in this game so I'll just give a small summery. The game follows the Dragonborn, a hero born with the power of The Voice and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons and the only one who can kill dragons. The game takes place in Skyrim during a civil war between the Empire and a rebel force called the Stormcloaks. While this civil war is happening, Dragons have returned to Skyrim. It's a ridiculously awesome game. Everyone should play this game.

Far Cry 3. I will admit, I never played the first two Far Cry games, but Far Cry 3 is awesome. The game follows Jason Brody who skydives with his brothers and friends on vacation. Things don't turn out as planned, especially when they are captured by an insane warlord named Vaas. And they are expected to be sold into slavery. But when Jason escapes, he begins to journey into the heart of insanity on a quest for revenge and devotion to save his friends and end the war that enslaves the citizens. It's a really cool game. Definitely has movie potential.

There are a few other games I would like to see, but they'd be tricky. Like Bioshock, The Legends of Zelda, and Castlevania. But all three would be awesome movies too as long as they make them correctly.
