J.J. Abrams is probably the best choice to have to direct Star Wars. Especially since he has been making the reboot of Star Trek. His Star Trek movies consist of the basically the same ideas that he will need to direct the new Star Wars Trilogy. He used a younger generation of actors and actresses to re-develop the characters from Star Trek: The Original Series. Also with final touches of adding cameos to the original actors such as Leonard Nimoy as future Spock in Star Trek.
I'm not saying that Abrams should cast future characters in Star Wars, but I'm almost positive he will give Ford, Fisher, and Hamil cameos. Hopefully he will cast a younger generation of actors and actresses to fill the roles of the main characters.
Now for who should play Han, Leia, and Luke. I have my own ideas, unfortunately, my opinion doesn't matter to anyone in high places in the entertainment world, but here are my ideas. Maybe someone important will see them and take them into consideration.
Han Solo: Nathan Fillion (Castle, Firefly). Why? Because he already looks like a young Harrison Ford, plus he has the same personality as Han Solo.
Leia Solo: Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean, King Arthur). Why? Who better to play Padme's (Natalie Portman) daughter than her look-a-like. Knightley and Portman share a very strong resemblance to each other. Plus, she has that certain warrior princess attitude.
Luke Skywalker: Garrett Hedlund (Four Brothers, Tron: Legacy). Why? Have you ever noticed certain faces he makes looks a lot like a young Mark Hamil?
C-3P0: Anthony Daniels. Who else is there?
Lando
Calrissian: Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire
Hunter). Why? I think he could play a pretty good Lando. He kinda has
the same personality.
Admiral
Thrawn: Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class, Prometheus). He could
play an awesome Admiral Thrawn. Just picture his personality from
X-Men: First class and put him as an Admiral in Star Wars. That would
be pretty awesome.
Mara
Jade: Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games, X-Men: First Class). Just
make her hair red and she would be good to go. Just take her fighting
stuff from Hunger Games and give her a lightsaber. I can't think of
anyone who could play Mara Jade better.
Boba
Fett: Temuera Morrison (Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith).
Who better than the voice of Janjo being the voice of Boba? Since
they are clones anyway, makes sense to me.
R2-D2
and Chewbacca are probably going to be digitally imputed or
whatever.

Windo: Samuel L. Jackson (Star Wars Episodes I-III). Nobody really
knows what happened to Mace Windo after the Emperor through him out
the window. He lost an arm to Anakin, but who said he died?
